Post-OpINSTRUCTIONS
Eating Precautions:
Avoid eating for at least two hours post-treatment or until anesthesia wears off to prevent injury to numbed gums.
Activity Restrictions:
Refrain from vigorous physical activities for the first 24 hours to minimize bleeding and swelling.
Oral Hygiene:
Begin gentle brushing of treated areas on the second day with a soft-bristled brush. Resume gentle flossing the day after treatment.
Hydration & Diet:
Drink plenty of water and stick to a soft diet for the first few days. Avoid spicy or extremely hot or cold foods.
Saltwater Rinses:
Rinse with warm saltwater (½ teaspoon salt in 8 oz water) three times daily to reduce swelling and cleanse gums.
Pain Management:
Take non-aspirin pain relievers like ibuprofen, Advil, or Tylenol to ease tenderness or discomfort.
Avoid Smoking & Alcohol:
Refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol, as these can slow healing.
Mouthwash Use:v
Avoid strong, alcohol-based mouthwashes for the first 24 hours to prevent irritation.
