Post-OpINSTRUCTIONS
Eating Precautions:
Avoid eating until anesthesia wears off (about two hours) to prevent accidental biting or injury.
Managing Sensitivity:
Some sensitivity to pressure, heat, or cold is normal and should decrease over days to weeks.
Food & Drink Guidelines:
Stick to softer foods and avoid very hot or cold items if teeth are sensitive.
Oral Hygiene:
Resume brushing and flossing gently around the new filling to prevent irritation.
Pain Relief:
Use over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol or Advil as directed if discomfort occurs.
Salt Water Rinses:
Rinse with warm salt water (½ teaspoon salt in 8 oz water) several times daily to soothe gums.
Avoid Hard or Sticky Foods:
Do not chew hard or sticky foods on the filling for 24 hours to allow it to fully set.
Follow-Up Care:
Attend all recommended follow-up appointments to ensure your filling and surrounding teeth remain healthy.
