Eating Restrictions:
Avoid eating for about three hours after surgery until anesthesia fully wears off.
Soft Diet:
Stick to soft foods for the first 2–3 days to prevent irritation at the surgical site.
Pain Management:
Use non-aspirin pain relievers as needed and take prescribed antibiotics to prevent infection.
Medication Reactions:
Contact Smile Studio 87 immediately if you experience any adverse reactions to medications.
Bleeding Control:
Apply a moistened gauze pad or tea bag to the area for 20-minute intervals if bleeding continues.
Head Elevation:
Keep your head elevated to help reduce bleeding and swelling.
Swelling Reduction:
Apply ice packs or cold compresses to the cheek for the first 24–48 hours to minimize swelling.
Gentle Cleaning:
Brush gently the first night, avoiding direct contact with the surgical area.
Careful Flossing:
Resume gentle flossing the following day, steering clear of surgical sites.
Irrigation Caution:
Avoid using irrigation devices like Waterpiks® until cleared by your dentist.
Smoking Avoidance:
Refrain from smoking for at least 48 hours, as it can significantly delay healing.
Alcohol Limitation:
Avoid alcoholic beverages, especially while taking prescribed medications, to ensure proper healing.
